literary universe, part 4: Andreas Eschbach
In 2000, the beginning of October, I met Andreas Eschbach authors during a seminar in Berlin in person. I had been lucky. It had in fact been many applications for the seminar, and I was for some time been on the waiting list. One of the last authors, I was then able to participate myself in the workshop.
Andreas Eschbach's book "The Jesus Video" was for many weeks if not months, geprangt topped the bestseller list on Amazon. Because of my affinity with religion, theology, and in general the Christian faith I had found me the book and read quickly. I was not fully satisfied. However, the idea is great: During excavations a video tape is found, containing the records of Jesus Christ. One of the most beautiful passages of the novel is the one where people are described who have seen the video. And in the end, of course, also the reader the question: How would it be if you could see a video that shows Jesus Christ? Not just any actor, but Jesus Christ himself?
I brought in after the lecture by Andreas Eschbach also some remarks in the discussion, and mentioned shortcomings that has the history in my opinion. And I also mentioned that have made what is undoubtedly a great idea much more to be done can. In part, the action strongly flattened or secondary aspects are described, and do not necessarily make a splash. To my positive surprise Andreas Eschbach also confessed that he was aware of certain weaknesses of the novel deliberately, and strive to do better on his next novel.
appeared little later, "A trillion dollars," a novel that will probably also be assessed in an objective sense by one or two grades higher than "The Jesus Video" must. This young man inherits a tidy sum of a trillion dollars, and the novel describes bravura in which the protagonist behaves his sudden wealth, what he is doing what he does. Woven into the exciting action are quite sharp criticisms of the global financial system, and it is described vividly how the gap between rich and poor people, rich and poor countries through existing systems which control people in this world, and apply extended is.
I got the lecture of Mr. Eschbach still remember well, and I have exchanged with him a few times even after mails. Meanwhile, he has - as he himself wrote times on his website - not the time to answer every mail. Where is particularly noteworthy that he has made all the important questions and answers to his HP, the authors and Readers may be of importance. It remains basically no answer. In particular, his novel "A trillion dollars" is highly recommended.

After How Long Do Pregnancy Cramps Disappear?
Actimel from Danone: Sauerkraut
enabled Actimel Abwehrkräft "tells us the Lord Kachelmann almost every night in the TV advertising, as he walked through the rain. Whether his unkempt appearance should support the advertising message, I do not know really well but it does not matter. Maybe we will give Danone as sublime message along the way that you can not only strengthen Actimel immunity but also the growth of hair. Much funnier than tile's TV spot, however, the Russian Actimel advertising.
Actimel me busy at the moment but also off the TV advertising. Last in the fridge were two packs of expensive trunks and I was wondering if that stuff is really so healthy then. First point for everything healthy eating: Food Watch. And indeed, which adopted the theme in detail. How healthy is Actimel? - or another way: Does this stuff ever was. Food Watch says that Actimel is primarily a very expensive sugar juice and the effect would be praised to the immune system to achieve similar or even better shape with sauerkraut and kefir.
only once to compare the basic price per kilo of Actimel is on average about 5.00 €, the contrast of good sauerkraut about 1.00 €. If one day a bottle (100 grams) Actimel drinks that are a month geschmeidge 15 euros. For sugar juice a high price.
Food Watch, however, has researched other impressive figures for the product Actimel: "... A billion euros in sales worldwide (2006), 265 million euros of which in Germany, the third largest brand in the German retail and selling product on the shelves: Actimel is a single superlative. On the jumps helps the manufacturer to the success not only with an annual advertising budget of 50 to 60 million euros in Germany alone, but also with generous sponsorship of scientific evidence of the alleged special effect ... "
I will abstain from Actimel and now back to normal bio-yoghurt. And maybe Danone shares ...

Cyber Gun Desert Eagle
literary universe, part 3: Ethan Hawke
one for me "Dead Poets Society" to my absolute favorite films, and when I got knowledge of it that set one of the leading actors, namely, Ethan Hawke, a novel is written, I had the book very quickly .
I do not know if it's the German translation, but I can not claim to have read me this particularly amusing ("Every now and gone", German title). Rather boring, but definitely always interesting Sequences in between. A debut novel one for Hollywood rather peculiar man who likes his film character Todd Anderson nothing in common.
The reason why I think back to those first fruits of Mr. Hawke is happy, a little experience I had when I left work in the tram sitting reading on me. Next to me was sitting on a longer journey, a man who taught until shortly before dropping out (stop) the word to me. The exact dialogue, I can not remember, but he told me about it, that he had Ethan Hawke on the occasion of the film "Before Sunrise" met in person.
"I had a short scene where I have to carry a suitcase, and because there is a small contact with Ethan Hawke. "(there is a scene that was shot on a platform)
" Before Sunrise "is a film that set in Vienna, and is perhaps for this reason I particularly appreciated. Ethan Hawke plays a young American who happened to be in a train compartment on a very beautiful French woman - July Delpy - take, and the two decide not to immediately go to next home or to fly, but to make in Vienna stopover, and a day there and spend much of the night. The confrontation between two people from the first moment understand very well, and share experiences with each other wonderfully weird, deepened into a love story, which ends after a few hours. Many years later, we actually find a second film called "Before Sunset", where the two former lovebirds actually again - meet - by chance in Paris.
it was due to chance, then, that I was sitting in a tram next to a man who had shot a scene with Ethan Hawke for "Before Sunrise". Of course I would have never approached the man, if he is not on my reading would have been aware. The world is small, and I would in this Case as in many other cases not even touch a "pure coincidence". In the small universe of a tram is contributed to an encounter that probably my party should not have forgotten. If you do, what I certainly can not check, then it would be a pity ...
The second novel by Ethan Hawke, entitled "Ash Wednesday" I have not read the way until today. Maybe I should make up time, and then the man appeared from nowhere at once. If someone believes that this is not possible, the reading times in the "Red Notebook" by Paul Auster. There are coincidences that may not even exist, but they do exist! Life always has surprises in store for us, we humans just have to be open to it ...

Bridal Hair Accessories Mossy Oak
After an expensive sport: Lammsbräu alcohol-free - guaranteed organic
Today I have a recommendation for all who enjoy sports nutrition, healthy and still want a tasty beer. The
Alcoholic Neumarkter Lammsbräu is not only tasty (to me anyway, it tastes very good), but also an ideal thirst quencher after exercise - because it is isotonic. The alcohol-free thus has the same effect as Isostar (I do not know if it's still there, but I'm managing the story after each football game gallons purely poured - but was also quite expensive).
The good thing Lammsbräu Alcohol Free: The brew the beer strictly according to ecological principles. I was 2005 times in a brewery tour. Unlike some other companies, it means the most serious Lammsbräu their eco-orientation. But if even a small family business that is not guided by any Sharholder value types. The Lammsbräu even created an annual cycle assessment, which shows how much energy and cleaning products, etc. is used.

Cost For Neoprene Rubber
literary universe, part 2: John Steinbeck John Updike
Maybe I would have never discovered John Steinbeck, when Bruce Springsteen would not have been. No, the boss did not call me, and I recommended to John Steinbeck, but it was something like that.
One day I was told that Bruce Springsteen would bring out a new album. The title of the album was "The Ghost of Tom Joad." Tom Joad is the hero or - if you will - "Anti-hero" from Steinbeck's "Grapes of Wrath". So I got up, and bought the CD. I was particularly impressed from the beginning of the title song. The famous passage (which will be discussed yet) touched me deeply. I knew Bruce Springsteen as a singer of ballads, but a few months after the publication of "The Ghost of Tom Joad" I went to a concert that I would never forget.
Bruce Springsteen played very soft sounds. And with the interpretation of "The Ghost of Tom Joad" he gave me the feeling that a very great musician to be. Of course, I would have previously been able to know that Bruce is not called "Boss" mentioned but there is this quiet album that I still very particular in his musical Guess work. The concert attendees expected in part, that he liked big aufrocken, but puff pastry: There was no stone on the other, Bruce Springsteen wanted the honor of Tom Joad, and he did.
The character of Tom Joad is, through which I learned to appreciate "The Grapes of Wrath". The novel may inspire a whole without question a strong energy in itself, readers all over the world, but the initial spark, the incredible presence of the novel is based completely on the de-ranged guy who went down in literary history.
Mom wherever there's a cop beatin 'a guy Wherever
a newborn baby cries
Where there's a fight 'gainst the blood and hatred in the air
Look for me Mom I'll be there
Wherever there's somebody fightin' stand for a
place to
Or decent job or a helpin to be Free
Look '
Wherever somebody's strugglin hand' in their eyes Mom you'll see me.
(John Steinbeck)
Who Reads "The Grapes of Wrath," which will close friendship with Tom Joad, unless the reader has a heart of stone.
I then several works by John Steinbeck have read. "East of Eden" is a bombastic Roman, absolutely, "Of Mice and Men" lives from the presentation of an unusual friendship, but "The Grapes of Wrath" to point to one to heart softening beautiful way what it means to love life, and death can not be seen as an enemy .
