discipline - and where is the marketing?

After the end of this year's Leipzig Book Fair, a "Studio Night" broadcast on ZDF that was the subject of "best-Boom" dedicated. Here was a lot of talk about what might constitute a best-seller, and write fervor with which the present authors (including Julia Franck and Moritz Rinke) in her novels. So, discipline is the order of the day, and every day something must be done for the novel ... Actually it was an arduous and prolonged work, which will run at least two years, and when it was important to never lose awareness of characters and plots. Apart from being sure, not every novelist writes at least two years on a novel to me is the question of why only been received on bestseller novels? In Leipzig, too many non-fiction and reference books were presented, and it is unknown how many non-novels be high in the bestseller lists.

Well, the show was very informative and interesting, but a not insignificant fact was left out completely: How can develop such a bestseller in fact, and why is it a novel - or what ever for a book - a bestseller? Does a best seller simply from the sky, and people scramble about to buy the thing and at best to even read? As the author puts strategy behind it, the minutely aware of the wide range of interests of a possible readership? No, no, just the thing's not all. Without marketing, no matter how great piece of literature being sold in large quantities. On the other hand, there are many wonderful novels, which are hardly buyers, because publishers can not afford the escalating marketing. Generous Marketing can exclusively those publishers operate, which are organized as corporations, and I want to mention any names. Another possibility yet is that the author, the author of many contacts available and one or more of these contacts, at best, the world stretches out feelers, and stirred the big drum to get this message on and on and continues ...

A bestseller in no way be a great piece of literature must have followed some of the panelists. How can it be that lose four callers and the host, no word on the subject of marketing, I find it strange. Or is it so obvious that it bored a spectator should be?

The Leipzig Book Fair was certainly the publishers and thus the authors as an important advertising space. From the perspective of a best-selling author or a best-selling author, perhaps a truism, to be wasted on the need no thought. However, it may in times of worldwide network even happen that a novel by his presence at online booksellers and the associated recognition - along best with an exciting, easy-to-find issues - developed its own momentum and can actually become the best seller. A good example is "The Jesus Video" by Andreas Eschbach
, which I spun the world without Network would not hear.

Eggless Birthday Cake Melbourne

literary universe, Part 8: Henning Mankell

It started when I got a book catalog in the hands and the pages. At that time (on any day at the end of the 1990's) I had a book in store, so I had to make me so the search. I wanted to deal with contemporary literature. And then appeared so to "Midsummer murders" by Henning Mankell. I was not a big mystery reader, I much prefer watching thrillers on television (which I still love), and it was a literal stopgap, I zuzulegen this novel, because I somehow had no idea, and I also temporarily grapple with any other classic wanted.

I was smitten from the first page of this crime. This quirky Wallander as the main character took my reader's heart by storm. The story created a suction, which I did not escape me. Of course it was not just this one Wallander novel. In the following months and years ago I read thrillers all the investigators in this figure, and can now claim that the expanded group Henning Mankell is one of my favorite authors.

Dealing with the authors of the books that I read is very important to me. I'm looking for resumes, and the sources of inspiration. Henning Mankell is a good half of the year in Mozambique, where he initiated theater projects and implements. In addition to his Wallander thrillers, some African novels are among my favorite books, especially "the Chronicler of the Winds" and "The secret of fire." Mankell can be described as a prolific writer, so I am unable to call any of his novels as successful, being to admit I must have not read all the books that come from him. In general, there are few authors that I am trying to understand the complete work. Well, with "The Chinese" Mankell created a work that I classed as weak.

At that time I was planning to set up a Wallander fan page on the Internet, but since I am a young Man anticipated. But is absolutely fine, so I could concentrate on other projects.

fobbed Actimel - Danone puffs

Foodwatch gives the prize "Golden Puff 2009" Danone, whose product is advertised as Actimel in the eyes of Food Watch with a bold advertising lie.

My personal experience with Actimel I had already posted. This Friday, the consumer (at least those who have participated in the vote on the campaign "Golden Puff 2009) a unique verdict on the alleged miracles of Trunk Danone like. Food Watch, which keeps the advertising promises of Danone and the weather mascot tile man for fraudulent misrepresentation, writes:
More than 35,000 consumers have given in recent weeks to voice their abgespeist.de. The overwhelming majority of 47 percent seen in the most brazen case of Actimel misnomer. food manufacturer Danone makes watch, therefore, the "Golden Puff 2009.
I wonder how high the waves will beat this to be due, in my opinion nor price, and above all, by what measures Danone Marketing (the company know the price and the allegation of fraudulent labeling back understandably) against controls.
What can occur even after tile man? Technically
hairstyle would offer themselves so as to counterbalance the shaggy Kachelmann perhaps the really funny Maxi Biewer . As Attorney-inhibiting colds and intestinal bacteria tile very noble man, however, was authentic. I will miss him somehow.

Causes Of Hives Energy Drink

Lammsbräu NOW

When Ökobrauerei Neumarkter Lammsbräu in the product development once again been busy: with "now", the " New Organic World " series, the Upper Palatinate try on in the push forward the market for trendy soft drinks. There still is the "Bionade" 1st place Lammsbräu has the Saps series already soft drinks on offer, in addition to organic and should somehow be holistic. Somehow, they could also never completely successful against the BIONADE competition. Whether
Now, therefore New Organic World , has the makings of a winner remains to be seen. The name sounds a bit like if ever as trendy as meaningless. At Biofach 2009, the new creation and presented at Neumarkter Lammsbräu states:

"now now Black & White Bitter Cola - the new trend Duo

Authentic taste, trendy design and 100 percent organic - is it now , the new soft drinks range Neumarkter Lammsbräu, presented the first time at BioFach 2009.

The focus is the new trend now duo Cola Black & White now bitter. Black Cola is now the first bio-Cola, which tastes really like a cola. With a kick and so deliciously stimulating guarana. At the side of Black is now White now bitter. By fine-bitter taste of wormwood, thyme and other herbs.

The comprehensive assortment of six varieties now is for all people who have high standards of taste, design, quality and vitality, while a strong environmental and social responsibility. now is for all those that move and change something now want. If not now, when? "

authentic taste?
Hmm, that sounds too much like marketing-blah. Either it tastes, or it does not taste. It's simple.
Trendy design?
The content or the bottle?
100% organic?
Sounds good and is also the reason why I always like to drink Lammsbräu. To cheer, are missing some information of what exactly is the 100% organic. Is the Coke for example of bio-mineral made

Not very imaginative I think the Black & White Black & White-naming -. that's since the two small Terrier mascot on the whiskey bottle as a theme but far from through. And "... taste of bitterness ..." sounds more like Queen Mum in a state that is at least as funny as her own hat.
Somehow I can think of "New Organic World" suspect many alcohol issues a ...
Well, the juice comes from a brewery, too. The know what they do with alcohol.
way: New Organic World, there is next to "Black Cola" and "White Bitter" even in the bold flavors of Green Herbs "(no, not what you think now ...)," Sunny Orange "," Red Berry " and Fresh Lemon. Wow. With so many English words MUST be able to score easily in Berlin and DJs Architects.

How Much Does Plan B Cost At H.e.b.

literary universe, Part 7: Josef Winkler

exchanged books I have in my life once, and here I came into the possession of "Graveyard of bitter oranges. But I was a young man, "Ariel" by Sylvia Plath.

It turned out that we did not get everything back both our books, and now that is an actual book exchange is executed as. Both works diving down into the depths of human existence, and dumbbells through areas where there is the horror. I took the novel by Josef Winkler on vacation to Greece, and read it with growing Amazement.

The confrontation with novels and stories of Josef Winkler always has a tragic component in itself. This not a perfect world is told here are played out dramas that take root in the minds of readers. It's about suicide, body burns, death, fear, abuse and traumatic experiences. Josef Winkler works exactly, and each set indicates a closed world. Nothing is left to chance, everything pushes out into the world and will be described.

Josef Winkler is certainly one of the most amazing authors in Germany. His language makes shudder, goes far beyond that which is sandwiched between book covers is. The imagination of the reader can work their into the areas that govern the madness. Positive findings were raised in when the stories are not tempted to become too deeply involved in the tragic depths of life plans.

I find "Cemetery of the bitter orange" only a few novels by Josef Winkler read. The urge to expand or collapse, the book, and to end the reading was and is never as strong as in novels by Josef Winkler. It is sometimes difficult to endure, but there may be a benefit. Each reader may find its own path to this author.

Black White Party Invitations Wording

literary universe, Part 6: Stephen King

My teenage years were largely determined as a reader of novels, a certain Stephen King had written. It seems to me even before today like I had then read out of this horror-ham otherwise. After a break of many years ago I read as a more mature reader then "Reading and Writing", a reading which I vacuumed up with a special interest in me. Just to sprinkle was then followed by the novel "The Girl".

Stephen King is not about the "king of horror". And I look at his works largely as a literary value. But eventually led my path as a reader away from horror literature, as it dominates Stephen King so masterfully. I turned Bram Stoker and Mary Shelley to read classic. But I will remember the novels of Stephen King never might even unearth some point again, and read a second time.

Of particular quality is King's "It". He describes the lives of young people, and weaves them skillfully with their later life as adults in middle age. The joint fight against "it" has taken me many hours in his spell. Stuttering Bill is one of the most tragic characters I have met in novels. I have "it" read at the age of 17 years, and I can still remember to have stopped reading for several weeks. But I started again after the long break, not from the front read what I had done quite a few other novels. The break must have done me good because I was very quickly of the action.

The films of the books by Stephen King I think in some cases very good.
particular, "Shining", "Carrie" and "you". I am disappointed by the film adaptation of "It", although there are quite a few good scenes to admire. If

who would ask me what book I was fascinated as a young man, I would confidently and shot like a shot with "it" answer.

Recommend Brand Flatware

literary universe, Part 5: Titus Müller

The enduring relationship to an author connects me with Titus Müller. I met him during a seminar authors know that he himself had initiated in 2000. A year later I moved again to Berlin. Important figures in the literary scene as Andreas Eschbach, Sandra Uschtrin, and Horst Bosetzky were speakers at the seminar mentioned above. Titus miller told them then that he was a literary agency name. A little later, it worked with the publication of his first novel. Cooperation with the literary agency had been worthwhile.

The special relationship with Titus Müller explained by the fact that he for a short time a publisher for e-books led, and in this context my story "Call Me Sebastian, the Buddha" was released. Titus Müller proofread my text personally. Here, the overall expression of the typescript was sent several times between Germany and Austria to and fro. By the corrections of the story Titus won undoubtedly density and potential, and I advocated but not every single correction. So it was an interesting experience for both sides.

course now I have been following the development of Titus Müller as a writer, I watch his broadcasts as host of "choice", it must concede, however, to have read only one novel by the author. The reason for this is quite simple: I do not usually read historical novels. The exception to the rule is "the doomed", and it happened that the novel was discovered by my friend during a shopping trip at Christmas time. I have "The doomed" like to read, mainly related to the fact that the background of real events in Basel in the 14th Century reflect. The plague then pulled many people away, and the Jews were held up as scapegoats. Titus Müller manages very well to portray the atmosphere of that time. The love triangle I find less successful, but does not play a big role.
