Dear friends, there is something for me that you miss me sometimes. But here in Ladakh, it is so that you are the stars and sometimes much nearer than one satellite Internet access. So do not despair, there's me. Also tomorrow I'll disappear again a few days in the wilderness.
First, a catch-up report from last week, my visit to the Nubra Valley in Diskit, where the Dalai Lama was present for several days:
in my guest house I had special company. Not the types that I Dormitory at the restaurant said. They were also three motorcyclists and a Czech backpacker group. dagen in the rooms were two nuns from Korea, a high-ranking lama from Leh and a Japanese photographer who allegedly placed the private photographer of the Dalai Lama. Especially the latter, I finally found out a rough schedule for the next three days. Should on Sunday at 9 clock the official inauguration of the statue that is - is - only for monks and guests of honor. Countless monks poured up the hill in between me. The monks were allowed in, not me. Despite press pass. I need a special card, the security man told me That was indeed going well and the organization office was not human.
So I had to back down from Mitreja so dan hill and could at least watch the march of the monks. Hundreds were.
In the plane a large stage was built, before assembled, starting from 7 clock countless visitors for by 1 clock scheduled ceremony with the Dalai Lama. I was sitting right in the middle (cross-legged on the floor, luckily I had brought a blanket ...) in the nation, first in the series. unobstructed view towards the stage, where later the Dalai Lama will sit.
it unbelievable what was going on, many of the visitors had their holiday clothes. You could feel the enthusiasm of the people who were happy to see their spiritual leader.
Two days later, was allowed to Mitreya pilgrimage to the hill. Already vast, so a 30 meter high Buddha.
I really wanted to upload more photos, but the internet connection is terrible today. Stay tuned for more later then.
