Requested Cost Reduction Letter

terrible floods and landslides in Ladakh and Kashmir

The good news today, when it finally is an Internet connection: I'm fine. Unfortunately you can not say that at least 100 people in Ladakh's capital Leh, and at least 50 people in a small village. There I am driven by a few days ago, a flourishing village is now buried by mud.
I'm still in Kargil on the Pakistan border. Also here were incredible rains last night, by landslides, the city is cut off in both directions. Room size boulders came in a 5-6 meter high waves in an otherwise small stream from the mountain and smashed several houses. Residents fortunately able to escape. The main road is blocked completely.

Tomorrow I will try with 1 day delay, to start my tour to Zanskartal. I'm 6-7 days without the Internet, so please do not worry. Weed does not pass.
